gratitude
n. gratefulness, thankfulness, appreciation
Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913)
Gratitude
(a.)
The state of being grateful; warm and friendly feeling toward a benefactor; kindness awakened by a favor received; thankfulness.
What are you grateful for today?
Are you without a job? Think of the things in your life that you are grateful for…family, friends, neighbors, church members, spirituality, your home, reliable transportation, indoor plumbing, the ability to think, the ability to speak, freedom of religion, etc. You may find that your dreary day became much less dreary and much more cheery.
Gratitude is ALL about attitude. Notice what happens when your attitude changes for the negative. Be still. What is going on around you? How do you feel? Now, pause again. Be still, all except for the smile that you create on your face. Chuckle to yourself and know that you are empowering yourself to attract all things positive. Tell yourself that you are grateful for this little reminder. Remember. Keep the smile on your face. Be grateful for those times when you have to check your attitude and change it for the positive. Without those moments, you may take the positive for granted.
